The Digital Main Line – A collaborative project between the strategic innovation programs Production2030 and PiiA

The Digital Mainline is a collaborative project between the strategic innovation programs Production2030 and PiiA financed within the framework of the co-operation program connected industry and smart materials.

Sweden is today one of the world’s most competitive export countries. But the conditions for the industry are changing rapidly. The analogue economy provides space for a new digital market system. Data streams are at least as important as physical flows of raw materials and products. To swiftly and smoothly exchange data and information to both streamline and create new values ​​along the industrial value chain becomes crucial for continued competitiveness. We need a digital main line. This project investigates and maps the needs and opportunities of digital information exchange in Swedish industry. Increased digitization provides completely new opportunities for speed and flexibility in the value chains. This means that companies can interact with each other and their customers in new ways and create added value together.
